Self Care Sunday

Abbie Paulhus

When I was married we attended church regularly and referred to Sunday as the Lord’s Day because it was the first day of the week and we would spend that time at church. It was a time of rejuvenation, which gave us renewed hope and energy for the coming week.

We can still spend Sunday like we did back then taking time to care for ourselves. This gives us the opportunity to stop and take in all that surrounds us, take time to pamper ourselves, and renew our spirits for another week.

What do you have planned for self care today?

I’m going to pamper myself a little bit. I gave myself a haircut, so I plan on washing my hair and pampering myself a little bit. I also plan on doing some reading and I may watch some YouTube videos on personal growth.

  1. Finishing addressing cards, wrapping presents, and perhaps a few errands. I may treat myself to a coffee out and about. But then again, a nap sounds good.

    1. That sounds like fun, Sam. And a nap sounds good to me too. 😂

  2. I actually managed a short walk today for the first time since 't' snap' (5 weeks ago now). Absolutely knackered after it but mentally so much better. Went shopping too with G and the fridge has now got a slightly more healthy look to its contents after the weeks of 'comfort food'...so all in all not too bad a day here.

    1. Here Sam and I were going to take a nap and you went on a walk, John. Good for you...the body fuels the mind. Sounds like a good day to me.

  3. I worked on my diamond painting. I had a nice facial mask. It was a luxurious treat.

    1. Oh, that sounds so nice. I wonder if your diamond painting is similar to something Bailey is working on, it’s a Harry Potter one with jewels.

    2. I didn't know there were Harry Potter diamond paintings. That is so cool. I will have to go find them. My painting is a dancer surrounded by roses.
