WFD: Tuesday - Sam's Club Rotisserie Chicken

Dinner tonight will be a rotisserie chicken, which I picked up at Sam's Club this afternoon for $4.99. Sides will be choice of pasta salad, potato salad, cole slaw, or mashed potatoes. Sweet iced tea as well. Afterwards I will be making some chicken stock with the leftovers.

  1. These make great stock-just plunk the carcass and skin into a crockpot, cover with water and let it go!

  2. Sounds great! I was going to do it on the stove, but the crockpot sounds better.

  3. Doesn't heat up the house as much and is more economical, electricity wise.

  4. I put it in the crock-pot on Wednesday morning, and we were able to go swimming in the afternoon without worrying about it. So much easier than doing it on the stove, so thank you for the idea. Once we got home I ladled it into freezer containers and ended up with 16 cups. :)
