Yard Sale Saturday

Here are some of the items we've picked up lately...

Oreck cordless vacuum $5

LA's Awesome Dishwashing Detergent 50¢

Broom & Dust Pan - $2.00

I have one of these for my kitchen.
I love a dust pan with a handle, so now
I have one for our back porch too.

Essential Oils
$10 for 14 bottles

My daughter bought out a yard sale at the end of the day, and this is what it looked like when she brought it into the house.

After sorting through the clothes and making piles for herself, Mom, and charity. This is what her pile looked like:

This is what my pile looked like:

I have 27 t-shirts in my pile. Rather than donate them to charity I'm keeping them. I've already cut up several to use as rags and to clean up any messes made by the cats.

Any good yard sales in your area lately?

  1. Wow! great finds. that's my go to dish soap from Dollar tree, works great, love the price! I should get a broom/handled dust bin, bending can be an issue, with my arthritic back.

    1. Thank you, Carol. I was thinking of you when I bought the dish soap. And I love my dustpan with the handle. Makes cleaning the floor so much easier. :)

  2. WOW - fantastic finds. Your vacuum was sure cheaper than mine last week! Great deals.
I haven't been to a sale in over a month. I just don't go any more, I have too much stuff the way it is. Besides it has been too darn hot.
    Good job!

    1. Oh, it is so hot out there, Cheryl. We try to go earlier in the day and then stop around noon as it's just too hot. Thank you!

  3. Wow! You scored like crazy with the essential oils!
I am getting rid of stuff instead of buying things so no garage sales for me.

    1. Thank you, I totally understand that, Anne. Some weeks I come home empty handed for that very reason.

  4. Never part with a tee unless it is for BIG $$$. Great savings with your tees. What fun you had at yard sales.

    1. I know, we were very surprised. Her husband was running the sale and they were marked for $1 each, but my daughter asked it he would take $10 for the whole basket and he agreed.
