According to Consumer Affairs, the national average gas price is now over $4 a gallon, according to AAA and GasBuddy predicts the price will continue to climb.
Prices have climbed more than $1 in a month, driven largely by global oil disruptions and seasonal demand shifts.
As a result of all of this, I decided that it would be a good time to revisit the saving on gas posts I've written about here before, so here they are.

Thank you for helpful information. I try and do my errands on the way home from work instead of making a special trip.
ReplyDeleteGoing to keep my speed below 65 mph.
Take care, Janie
You're welcome, Janie. That is a great way to save on gas by combining errands when you're already out of the house for work.
DeleteWe could all use a reminder on ways to save on gas. Our prices were $4.19 last week and have dropped to $3.99. Still high, but better. I'll take any savings available!
ReplyDeleteOh, I read today that gas had dropped a few cents here too. Like you, I'll take any savings available.
DeleteThanks for the tips! We need all the tips we can get.
ReplyDeleteGas is $3.99/gallon here now at some stations.
I don't think there are any stations around me that offer 100% gas, but I'll keep an eye out. Don't think I want to try the coasting though, although I did have an uncle who would turn off the engine? and coast down hills during the 70's. I remember cars lining up at gas stations, and I hope it doesn't come to that here.
You're welcome, Kathy. I wouldn't coast down any hill either. I hope it doesn't come to lining up at gas stations here either, but panic does that to people sometimes, sadly. I've seen it happen here on one occasion when people heard the rumor that there was a shortage on gas deliveries here.
DeleteDear Belinda, I think you are giving great tips! I personally don't have a car but many do! I appreciate all you share, dear friend.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda. You are so sweet.
DeleteI was surprised that gas was $3.22 at the pumps attached to the C store part of our local grocery store when I had been gearing itvwas near $3.60 in the state. I had 3 cents off in Rewards per gallon. Not much but I'll take it. Im due for an oil change and will get the complimentary checks to hopefully keep the car running efficiently.
ReplyDeleteOh,$3.22 is a much better price than $3.60. I'll take those rewards too, any way I can get them.
DeleteI am still combining errands, and trying to only go out to shop once a week. I can stretch a tank of gas well over two months that way. We do drive to church once a week though.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
