  1. One turkey seems a lot for two persons! I'm curious how many meals you get from that.

My main goal is to enjoy the last bit of the summer break a bit more. I've been busy working on so many projects lately that I've kind of forgot to enjoy our time having the children at home before their schools are starting again. We've still got one month left and we're planning to go on a short trip (a week or so) to a coastal town.
It's all mountains here, which is nice, but it's good fun to spend some time at the beach (and to enjoy the Mediterranean climate instead of our desert sand storms lol).

    1. Oh yes, the turkey will have many servings. I’ll cook the uncooked bird and then I can it freeze any cooked leftovers after we’ve eaten all that we want.

I loved spending time with my daughter swimming back during the summers off from school. She is out of school now, so summers are different. Definitely enjoy the days off with yours before school starts again.

  2. I think I need to be more disciplined.

  3. Sounds like some good goals!
How have you been feeling? Healed from kidney stone?
I've been drifting this summer, but should think about some goals.
I roasted a turkey breast this week. So far we have had a turkey/stuffing Thanksgiving meal. Turkey casserole, turkey sandwiches, turkey salad, and tonight will finish up with a turkey pot pie. ;) Remember on Christmas Story where the dogs stole his turkey, and he was so sad there wouldn't be any turkey leftovers. I think my husband is hoping that we finish up the turkey. :D

    1. I'm feeling much better from the kidney stone. I go back at the end of the month for a CT on of the area and to the doctor for a follow up to be certain. I'm still feeling tired each day from the anemia and my stamina hasn't come back completely, but so much better than it was. Thank you for asking.
How funny about the leftover turkey and your dh. That is how I feel about turkey too, but will eat it and be happy. (trying to convince myself. lol)

  4. I always have some sort of goal but rarely put them pen to paper! Then I have to be accountable!!! LOL

  5. Oh, one turkey is a lot! I get 10 servings of food from one chicken, so what would that make from one turkey? 🤔

  6. I currently am reducing the freezer to accommidate a half of beef in late Sept. We have a 22 lb ham and a 23 lb turkey. I just don't love cooking them in the summer. The turkey was a payment for some work my DH did. The ham was from a pig we got in March. I have been great at scheduling meals to come out of the freezer, but failed this time.

    1. Wow, those are nice, big pieces of meat. You'll be able to make a lot of meals with those two items. I tend to forget about things like Turkey in the summer and more so because I have them stored in the freezer downstairs, out of sight, out of mind, you know.

  7. Hmmm, perhaps one of mine should be learn a new skill. I do have a sock loom that I keep looking at and haven't learned how to use as of yet.

    God bless.

    1. That would be amazing, Jackie. You could pair them with the mittens you make.

  8. Belinda,
I love your list. I am a huge list maker. I make yearly goals, monthly goals, weekly goals, and daily goals. It does keep me on track. Sometimes, I drive myself a little crazy. I need to schedule a little time off.
