While we don't have any such tax holiday here in Washington state, I have read of yours, and understand that this is a great opportunity for families to stock up on supplies for the school year. For those without young kids, it's also a great time to think ahead, and buy art-type supplies for Christmas gifts. I shop the sales and pick up crayons, scissors, construction paper, glue sticks, markers, watercolor paints, etc. all to be put into shoebox gifts that our church participates in for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a good idea to plan ahead for art supply Christmas gifts, Lili. Especially since there are also good deals to be had right now with the back to school sales. Sales tax here is 9.75%, so almost 10¢ on the dollar, so it adds up to a nice savings. Would be nice if they offered this is Washington state too.
