Crash and Burn

Found five items in the Crash and Burn section the other day. Two cans of Southern Home Vegetable Beef soup for 55¢ each, one can of crushed pineapple for 50¢, one can of beef broth for 60¢, and one can of chicken broth for 70¢. The vegetable beef soup will find its way into our lunches this week, and the broth will be used in cooking as well as the crushed pineapple.

  1. Belinda, love finding crash and burn. Sadly, the only local chain that offers these has reduced the % off from 50 to 33. Depends on who is doing the pricing. As always, know your bottom line as to whether or not it's a deal for you.

BTW-it looks like your post about the Jimmy Dean sausage got somehow crossed with this C & B one.

  2. Thanks, Carol. I'll check into that. :)

Yes, I've noticed a difference in the pricing on some Crash and Burn items as well. I passed on flour at $1.25 when I bought these items. I can find it for 99¢ at times. 1/2 gallons of milk that used to be 50¢ are now $1.50 and past the due date, so I don't buy them anymore.

  3. I didn't have a title on the Jimmy Dean Sausage page. Thank you for the heads up, Carol! I've fixed it now. :)
