My Mom needed to run some errands today, and one of those was Walmart to get some items. I went inside too and found the following items...
One pound of Italian Sausage for $2.00.
Two & a half pounds of Italian Sausage for $5.07.
Five loaves of Italian Bread for 50¢ a loaf.
I also stopped in at Food Lion and bought Ball Park beef franks, which were on sale for Buy One, Get One Free, which worked out to $2.50 each. The Challenge butter was also Buy One Get One Free and priced at $2.15 each.
And finally, I found this bag of Black Eyed Peas on the clearance rack at Walmart for 50¢.
What good deals have you found lately?
I love a good deal on meats!
ReplyDeleteI got some instant discount sticker meats the other day.....Italian Sausage Patties, 2 packages of Cubed Steaks, a package of 2 Small Steaks, a pack of Chicken Thighs and a package of Salmon fillets. I also picked up some Butter too as it was $1.99 a lb.
I've got enough Bratwurst and Hot Dogs in the freezer we'll use up in the next few months too.
I agree, Sluggy. I like a good deal on meat too. Sounds like you found some good deals too! Way to go. :)
DeleteWow! awesome score on meal deals! Those loaves of bread + sausage scream pizza to me!
ReplyDeleteOh what a great idea, Carol. I even have mozzarella in the freezer and plenty of pizza sauce. I was thinking spaghetti, but I like the idea of sausage pizza even better! Thanks. :)
DeleteGreat deals this week, Belinda! I can understand how summer break can be a mixed blessing. On the one hand, you now have more time to do all of the frugal things which help your budget. But on the other hand, no pay checks coming in till school resumes. You're clever and a savvy shopper, so I think you'll manage just fine!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Thanks, Lili. And you hit the nail on the head about summer break. I love to be home doing frugal things but no paycheck is a bummer. Thanks for cheering me on. :)
DeleteYou will adjust this summer, Belinda, because you always have. You were not standing behind a door when brains and common sense were distributed. Congrats on your bargains. May others see your needs and share.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Anna. Your kind words mean the world to me. :)
DeleteBelinda,
ReplyDeleteI am happy for your good bargains.:)It is amazing to how you manage the summers without a pay check and live within your means. Do they still double coupons there? They stopped in California I am praying you will get many financial blessings over the summer. You are setting such a great example for your daughter.
She has learned a lot from you. Slugmama posted onion soup on her blog not too long ago. That french bread toasted and made into croutons for the onion soup would be wonderful.
Blessings,
Patti
