There will not be a Frugal Friday post next Friday on December 27th as I prepare for my knee surgery. There will not be any Meal Plan Monday posts either, so this will be my last post of 2024, but I'll be posting again in January.
I wanted to send a thank you to Arlene for the sweet gift she sent me this week. That was so thoughtful and kind of her, and I hope she as well as all of you have the merriest of Christmases.
Dinner tonight will be Salmon Patties, Green Beans with Onions, and Sweet Potatoes.
Chasing Cupcakes by Elizabeth Benton who also runs a podcast called Primal Potential.
I hope and pray all of you who celebrate have a very Merry Christmas. With my surgery coming up, my mind is on other things right now as I prepare. I hope you all stay safe and warm and I'll be back before you know it.
Thank you for dropping by my frugal blog, you are always welcome here.
We would love to hear all about your week in the comment section.
Prayers that the operation goes smoothly and takes care of all your problems. Prayers for all hands in involved and for you. Take good care and do what they tell you do. Look forward to updates. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you both.
Merry Christmas to you and Bailey. I, too, add my prayers for good outcome with your surgery. I have now had both knees replaced; the right in May 2023 and the left in May of this year. I say this fully realizing that each person's experience is different---The first three weeks were the worst for me each time. After that, it was pretty smooth sailing. I worked hard in PT and walked as much as they would allow. I was mobile with a walker at three weeks and with a cane at four. Let go of the cane pretty quickly. As Cheryl said---do everything they tell you and don't try anything new or different without your PT's permission. Keep us all posted on your progress. You've got this!!!! Hugs
Thank you so much, Frances. It sounds like you did really well with both of your new knees. I’m nervous, but you’ve given me hope, thank you. I will be so glad to get this done as it has really limited my mobility in the last few years. I hope I do as well as you’ve done. I’m going to do everything they tell me to do. 💕
I will keep you in my prayers Belinda that you have a successful surgery, and your healing will be quick and pain free! I wish you and Bailey a wonderful Christmas and a happy and healthy 2025! Janel
I hope your surgery goes well, and that your recovery will be easy. I'm sure you will be glad to have it over, and I hope that you will be able to get around much easier. Wishing you and Bailey a very Merry Christmas, and I hope the New Year will be full of blessings.
Thank you! This is Belinda. My surgery went well and I’ve already walked to the nurses station and back! Woo Hoo! The doctor told Bailey mine was the worst knee h had seen in a long time.
