Homemade Christmas Candy ~ Chocolate PB Fudge

Listed below is one of the recipes I've decided to make for Christmas this year. I like this recipe as it does not call for expensive chocolate chips or chocolate bars. Using cocoa is a real money saver when it comes to baking. And this recipe has a really good taste.

Chocolate PB Fudge

Ingredients:

1 cup (2 sticks) melted butter
1 box or 3 and 3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

Line a square pan (8 x 8) with parchment or waxed paper.
Melt butter in microwave and add peanut butter and mix well.
Add cocoa powder and powdered sugar and mix well.
Stir in vanilla and mix well.
Spread mixture into an even layer in pan.
Refrigerate and allow to set up.
Cut into pieces and serve

  3. That sounds wonderful! I agree on the cocoa! I have to make my late MIL fudge every year for my Hubby. It is the nerve wracking boil to soft ball stage and beat until just the right second or it will set up in the pan or pour it too soon and it never sets up. I kind of dread it every year!

    1. Thank you, Lana. I would dread that kind of recipe too. My grandmother always made divinity, but I don't have the patience for it, unfortunately.

    2. I can do divinity but you need a helper to pull it off. He by pours the hot syrup while I beat the egg whites.

    God bless.

  5. Sounds like a great recipe as it doesn’t require cooking to a specific candy temperature. I can bake about anything but have never been too successful with most candy attempts

    1. I hope you make and enjoy it, Rhonda. I’m not a fan of specific candy recipes you have to bring up to temperature. I don’t have the patience.

  7. That looks really nice and easier than the boiling method. Might give it a go at some point, thanks very much. xx
