Thanksgiving Day Week ~ Menu Plan Monday

This will be a big week here along with multiple households across the United States this week as we celebrate Thanksgiving. As for me and my household we have so much to be thankful for this year.

In no particular order, these are the meals I plan on making this week. As usual, we have plenty of salad and vegetables to serve with these meals.

Walking Taco Casserole

Deconstructed Egg Rolls

Taco Stuffed Baked Potatoes

Chicken Fajita Tacos

Thanksgiving Day Menu
Remember, more isn’t always better,
keep it simple this year and stick to 2 or 3 side dishes.
You can still serve a hearty meal and keep it simple

Sticky Pineapple Chicken

Bean and Cheese Enchiladas

Come back on Friday if you're interested in reading which side dishes we chose for each meal

  1. Curious about the walking taco casserole! My crew loves tacos.

My husband keeps asking to put more sides on the menu for Thanksgiving, but it's just the four of us, so I've resisted so far. :-)

    1. I’m with you, make it easy on yourself and do less sides. I will be posting the Walking Casserole recipe on Friday. If you need it before then let me know and I will send it to you. :)

  2. We are doing turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, rolls, cranberry sauce. My perfect plate is a tiny piece of turkey, a pile of stuffing, small sweet potato and cranberry sauce. Then later, a nice piece of chocolate cream pie! Homemade pork pie is what we have for Thanksgiving breakfast each year

    1. That all sounds delicious, Ellen. It’s been a long time since I’ve had chocolate pie. I need to make one soon.

  3. Your menu is quite heavy on Mexican dishes this week. That reminded me that we haven't had Mexican in quite awhile. Next week I'll have to rectify that. 8-)

  4. Thanksgiving is the same menu for us every year except maybe a change up on the salad. I would have a revolt if anything was missing! But, most of it is pretty easy.

    1. Thanksgiving dinner used to be that way for us too, although it has changed in recent years due to the long distance between family members. We do still have our favorite dishes though. I know what you mean about a revolt if anything were missing. If my Dad was going to be here I would need to make the dressing. Easy is good in my book. I like to cook ahead during the week so the actual day is easier.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Lana.

  5. It all sounds good. I love Mexican food of any type. I eat it a lot too.
I will be making a small turkey and some baked mac n cheese and a cheesecake and who knows what else. Just me and maybe a neighbor after T day. Looks forward to your sides! Have a great Thanksgiving.
