A Tip and a Free Calendar

This is a picture of the white board and calendar I have in our kitchen. I write the date of Bailey’s milk on the white board and on the calendar, so she will know when it about to expire.

We often go past the expiration date when using the milk, but it helps us to avoid wasting it completely. I prefer almond milk, which has much longer expiration dates.

The calendar is a freebie from Snort and they are offering them free again this year. In order to get the free calendar they want you to fill out a survey which only takes a few minutes.

  1. When my milk gets to the sell by date - or if it is about to start tasting off, I freeze in cubes. Those are great to throw in smoothies, soups, any recipes or even in coffee or hot chocolate. Keeps from any waste.
I always keep my milk on the bottom shelf at the back - seems to be the coldest place.

  2. I, too, keep milk on the bottom on the hinge side. I make chocolate milk if it starts to go sour. Cooking with it works, too, like biscuits. okay, a calendar is on its way to me.
