100 Words on the Small Stuff

Many of the small daily things we do each day save a very small amount of money that we might not think are worth the effort.  If we look at the big picture though, look at those savings over an entire year, then they add up to a considerable sum and become eye opening.

To live our best frugal life, we need to make the effort to do the little things every day even if we don’t think it will make a difference. The little things WILL make a difference, and soon they will become like second nature to us.

  1. So true Belinda. The other day I made laundry liquid. It took about 30 minutes. I may not save hundreds but every little helps. Plus homemade laundry liquid doesn't bother my sensitive nose. :)

  2. Ever asked by a family member what another family would like as a gift? E-mailed a return that one-pound package of sliced Honey Baked ham would be yum. The package contained 10 large slices. When ham package was opened, the recipient prepared a 4-cup salad with lettuce, carrot slivers, chopped celery, cherry tomatoes, shredded cheese, a chopped slice of ham, and all topped with honey-mustard salad dressing.

Other slices were slipped between wax paper and placed in freezer-safe containers for later meals from the freezer.

    Happy recipient.
