Today, as always, I continue to look for lower prices on
products we use in our household.
I’ve been reading for quite some time now about people using
bubble bath in their liquid soap dispensers because it was cheaper than using
hand soap. I’ve looked for inexpensive bubble bath since that time, but have
not had any success.
Today I stumbled across this in the detergent aisle:
The first is a bottle of Value Time dish washing detergent
and if you look closely, you will see it also says hand soap.
These were priced
at 99¢ each for 25 ounces. These will be less expensive for me than buying the
large bottles of Equate (56 ounces) hand soap for $3.75 and refilling our pump
dispensers. And definitely cheaper than the 7.5 ounce bottles of hand soap, which sell for around $1.50.
So, if you have been unable to find bubble bath for your soap
dispensers, look in the dish washing detergent aisle and see what you can find.
Next up, I was able to find these 8 ounce bottles of T-gel shampoo
for $1.00 each.
These are much cheaper than Wal-Mart’s Equate brand of T-Gel
shampoo, which sells for $3.44 for the 8 ounce bottle, and Neutrogena's T-Gel shampoo, which sells for over $7.00 a bottle. I was really tickled to find this as I had no idea I could find T-Gel shampoo this inexpensively.
Our efforts to continue to reduce our household expenses has paid off today and will continue as we constantly strive to reduce our expenses and live the frugal life.

“Use it up, wear it out, make it do, do without”
Funny, even though I have hand soap by the kitchen sink, most of the time, we all just use the liquid dish soap! I have bought bubble bath at Dollar Tree. It's hit or miss there. Sometimes I find the jumbo bottles of bubble bath, sometimes just the smallish ones.
ReplyDeleteWe do that sometimes too, wash our hands at the kitchen sink with liquid dish soap, Lili. Whatever is easier at the moment, lol.
DeleteLiquid detergents are basically the same; I had some green bubble bath that I bought for the bathroom sink, but we decorated the room purple and found some cheap purple stuff for in there. The rest of the green is being used for washing the dishes. As my kitchen is blue, I used to buy blue antibacterial liquid soap for hands, but recently found the idea of using bubble bath with tea tree oil added (a 250 ml bottle had about 30 drops added but you could probably get away with less). Manufacturers are trying to kid us that we must buy a different product for every purpose because that's how they get rich!
