Saturday

Sorry I have been absent for the past week, but I’ve been sick and have not felt up to posting this week. Last Sunday I started feeling sick and by the next evening figured I had the flu, so I went to the doctor on Tuesday to be tested, but the flu test came out negative.

Turns out I was bitten by a spider.

After feeling poorly with fever and chills all week, I am finally feeling much better today. Those spiders may be little, but they sure can make a person sick.

This morning I was up by 6 a.m. and have so much more energy today for which I am very thankful.

Here is what I’ve already accomplished this morning:

Laundry – Washed, folded, and put away three loads of laundry.

Refrigerator – Cleaned out the refrigerator and washed the dishes. I always do this before I take off the garbage. I still want to wipe it out inside before the day is over.

Garbage – Gathered up this week’s garbage and have plans to haul it off later. Doing this ourselves saves us approximately $20 per month.

Cleaning – So far I’ve cleaned the bathroom, living room, and my bedroom.  Next on my list is to vacuum and mop the kitchen floor.

How has your Saturday been shaping up this week?

  2. I'm so sorry to hear you've been under the weather, Belinda. Do you know what kind of spider it was? I have had bad bites before. I am glad that you're beginning to feel a bit more normal now. I'm with Carol -- don't over do it at first, It is amazing how fast the work piles up when you're not available to take care of things,

    1. The work really does pile up fast when you are sick, Lili. It was probably a brown recluse spider. I was bitten before in 2007 and it was very similar to that one, same type of bite mark, fever, chills, nausea. It feels so good to finally feel better. I promise not to overdo it though. :) Thank you for your concern. :)

  3. Oh, Belinda that's terrible. I'm glad you're feeling better. But I'm on the bench with everyone else, don't overdo it.

The work will still be there tomorrow, do it a little at a time. No one is going to critique your home knowing you haven't been feeling well.

Take care of yourself. Have a good weekend and do something that you and Bailey like to do together.

    1. Thank you, Mary Lou. Bailey and I did go out to eat tonight, so that was a nice treat for both of us. Hope you have a good weekend too. :)

I've had a lazy day compared to you, but I have had a busy week.
