Yard Sale Saturday
We ventured out both Friday and Saturday this week to go to multiple yard sales, over 25 in all. The weather was beautiful, not too cold or too hot, and very sunny, so we were able to get our vitamin D naturally both days.

I also hit a community yard sale but it was disappointing there were very few houses participating. I did find a few items to craft with and my favorite pick-up were 3 really pretty baking dishes with tops - a brand I hadn't heard of (Paini, or something like that) - I got them for $1 apiece and looked them up - they go for up to $70 - SCORE!!! Sounds like Bailey got a great deal on some stuff and the skillet was a definite deal!!
ReplyDeleteWow, that was a great score on the baking dishes, Sue. That is great. I noticed that about these neighborhood sales too, not many houses were participating. Maybe it is too early in the season for them. Either way, I'm happy to be yard sailing again. :)
DeleteIt was probably Parini. They give out a lot of that brand at casino's for gifts. When we lived in California we got a lot of things in that brand. It's a great brand. Moved to Texas last year and no casino's are close at all.
DeleteNo casinos close to us either, Mia.
DeleteThat pan is a fantastic score! I still haven't ventured out to yard sales. I'll wait until my 2 week wait after the vaccine - but I can't can't wait to hit them and thrift stores again!
ReplyDeleteWe felt the same way, Martha. The waiting was getting to me.
DeleteAwesome frying pan!!!! I just love yard sales!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I love them too.
DeleteI have so much stuff between cleaning out Mom's and the lake place that I have no business at a yard sale__unless it is having one.
ReplyDeleteI know where you're coming from, Anne. Having a yard sale is a lot of work though.
DeleteI went to a yard sale on Saturday, one I could get close to without walking much. I took between two and three minutes to find a purse for my Pink Purse Project. I spent $1.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great price for a purse. :)
DeleteSo glad that you and Bailey were able to get out to yard sales and get some sun! Just the tax on the pan would be $3.05 here! Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Julie. I hope you have a great week too.
DeleteThe pan is such a good find. I'd love something like that myself, for sure. Well spotted.

Thank you, Joy.
DeleteSounds like fun! So glad you were able to go to some yard sales, and I know it did you good to get out of the house. Great deal on the skillet, and I'm glad that Bailey was able to find some things for her business.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to any yard sales yet, but we did buy some gorgeous vintage Link Taylor solid cherry bedroom furniture for my daughter, off of craigslist. My husband joked he was going to block me from craigslist. ;)
LOL, Kathy. That bedroom furniture sounds beautiful. Your daughter must have been thrilled.
DeleteI like to look on Craigslist too.
That is such a great deal & it's a gorgeous pan. No yard sales for me. My DH had to do a subdivision the other day for work. It's an HOA division so yard sales are only allowed on one day for the year. My DH said all the homes were participating it was crazy with all the traffic and he has this big truck in a residential neighborhood during a large community yard sale, lol. He was definitely not the favorite. What can you do, right? LOL.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Safyne. Yikes for your DH having to work in that mess. I feel for him.
DeleteNo sales as we need to purge plus, have so much if my daughters stuff to sort and store. Good gor Bailey. I hope she has a good result with sales. The pan was maybe the deal of the year.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sam. I thought the pan was a great deal too. I definitely understand the need to purge.
DeleteWe call them subdivision sales and we love them too! so nice finding things you want or need for great price.
ReplyDeleteWhat a deal on the skillet! Love this time of year!
