Yard Sale Saturday

We ventured out both Friday and Saturday this week to go to multiple yard sales, over 25 in all. The weather was beautiful, not too cold or too hot, and very sunny, so we were able to get our vitamin D naturally both days.

There were four neighborhood yard sales we went to yesterday. Those are always good because you can park and walk and go to multiple sales at the same time.

Bailey found multiple items for her online stores. At one place she ended up sitting on the ground and going through the boxes and found 62 pieces for $1.00 each. She did really well.

The one item she picked up for me is this brand new in the box deep skillet for $3.00. It retails at Walmart for $55.48. So, getting it for $3.00 was a steal. The lady selling it told her she wasn't taking anything back in th house. LOL

Did you get to venture to any yard sales this week?

  1. I also hit a community yard sale but it was disappointing there were very few houses participating. I did find a few items to craft with and my favorite pick-up were 3 really pretty baking dishes with tops - a brand I hadn't heard of (Paini, or something like that) - I got them for $1 apiece and looked them up - they go for up to $70 - SCORE!!! Sounds like Bailey got a great deal on some stuff and the skillet was a definite deal!!

    1. Wow, that was a great score on the baking dishes, Sue. That is great. I noticed that about these neighborhood sales too, not many houses were participating. Maybe it is too early in the season for them. Either way, I'm happy to be yard sailing again. :)

    2. It was probably Parini. They give out a lot of that brand at casino's for gifts. When we lived in California we got a lot of things in that brand. It's a great brand. Moved to Texas last year and no casino's are close at all.

  2. That pan is a fantastic score! I still haven't ventured out to yard sales. I'll wait until my 2 week wait after the vaccine - but I can't can't wait to hit them and thrift stores again!

    1. I know where you're coming from, Anne. Having a yard sale is a lot of work though.

  5. I went to a yard sale on Saturday, one I could get close to without walking much. I took between two and three minutes to find a purse for my Pink Purse Project. I spent $1.

  6. So glad that you and Bailey were able to get out to yard sales and get some sun! Just the tax on the pan would be $3.05 here! Hope you have a great week!

  8. Sounds like fun! So glad you were able to go to some yard sales, and I know it did you good to get out of the house. Great deal on the skillet, and I'm glad that Bailey was able to find some things for her business.
I haven't been to any yard sales yet, but we did buy some gorgeous vintage Link Taylor solid cherry bedroom furniture for my daughter, off of craigslist. My husband joked he was going to block me from craigslist. ;)

  9. That is such a great deal & it's a gorgeous pan. No yard sales for me. My DH had to do a subdivision the other day for work. It's an HOA division so yard sales are only allowed on one day for the year. My DH said all the homes were participating it was crazy with all the traffic and he has this big truck in a residential neighborhood during a large community yard sale, lol. He was definitely not the favorite. What can you do, right? LOL.
