Self Care Sunday

Self Care Sunday

This morning I woke up early, fed the cats and gave them plenty of loving.

Afterwards I showered and washed my hair.

Then I made some hot tea using Matcha, Reishi , and Turmeric tea bags. I cut up a cantaloupe and picked out some blueberries, made some whole grain toast and settled in for a nice healthy breakfast.

How are you going to practice self care today?

  1. Love this. Thanks for the inspiration! I'm drinking a nice cup of tea now, and will soon figure out a work out option. It's beautiful but chilly & windy outside, so need to figure out if it's an inside or outside workout day today.

Also, I tried the Big Mac Sloppy Joe recipe you linked to, & loved it! I simplified it a bit by just doing the first set of steps (browning the beef with onions, adding salt & pepper, worcestire & the pickles). Then combined with Thousand Island dressing & it was delicious & easy. Thanks for recommending!

  2. I'm laying low, but the weather is so unseasonably nice, I'll sit outside for a while. I think I will do a fask mask tonight.

  3. I worked out in the sunshine getting exercise and making the yard look prettier for fall. Then took a short nap! Have a spa night planned for this evening.

  4. Got up early here too, fed the pets, spent time with hubby sitting out on our back porch for our morning coffee, filled the bird feeder, unloaded the dishwasher, made a batch of homemade biscuits and sausage gravy, did some gardening and was happy to see blossoms on my squash, and then showered. I'm heading in to start a big pot of soup next and then settling in to watch some football :)

    1. That sounds like you've been busy, Martha. But it all sounds good to me, especially the pot of vegetable soup. I was gong to make a hamburger soup, but I might do a stir fry instead.

  10. Hi Belinda :)) Self-care Sunday is a great idea. Yesterday I really took things very easy and enjoyed some spiritual work. It was so needed! Today it's back to work on the house! :)

    1. Thank you, Rain. I think that taking a spiritual break is a great way to spend a Sunday. It is the Lord's day after all. :)
