Honey Butter

We used to have a restaurant here that would serve dinner rolls with a delicious honey butter. That restaurant is no longer in business, but you can make the honey butter at home using this simple recipe.

Honey Butter

Ingredients:

1/4 cup honey
1/4 powdered sugar
1 cup butter, softened

Directions:

Combine all ingredients.
Blend well.
Store in the refrigerator.

  1. Heh. My son, the beekeeper, winced when I read the recipe and said "powered sugar." "Mom, don't you DARE bastardize my honey!"
Seriously, though, I have made this with lousy grocery store honey, and it is delicious. I like it on top of a really sharp cheese.

    1. Oh, that sounds good, Meg. Any honey will do for this recipe. We do like to use local honey for allergies, which is not necessary for this recipe. :)

  2. Tastes delicious but hastens dental appointments. :(:(:(
