Our First Egg

Guess what I found in the Chicken Coop today? Our first egg from our 4-H chickens that came here in the Spring.

Here are some of the chickens, pictured below, free ranging in the yard.

The big one in the middle has been named, and rightfully so, Foghorn Leghorn, by my Dad. He is a BIG rooster with a deep crow.

If these chickens are anything like the last batch of 4-H Chickens we had, I can expect to be swimming in eggs before too long. A nice "problem" to have. :)

  1. How exciting! The first egg. Soon, buying eggs will be a thing of the past for you. Will you have enough to sell extras?
