Christmas Recipe Series ~ Cheeseball

This is a recipe I found in a Ronald McDonald cookbook in the early 1990s. I bought the cookbook at the McDonalds in Dunlap, Tennessee.

This too is a tried and true family favorite. I usually make it for Christmas Eve and serve it with other finger foods.

Cheese Ball

Ingredients:

2 - 8 ounce packages cream cheese
1 - 8 ounce cheddar cheese, grated
1 tablespoon minced onion
2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce

Directions:

Mix cream cheese and cheddar until well blended.
Add onions and worcestershire sauce.
Refrigerate several hours.
Shape into a ball and serve with crackers.

  1. Thanks, and this is actually keto friendly so I can make it!

  2. I made this for our family Christmas party and it was a big hit! I love that it is very basic, so it could be adapted in several ways. I have chive plants, so I plan on drying some next summer, & using just a little diced chives in w/ this! I'm a gluten free vegetarian, & this is one cheese ball that I can safely eat! :) THANKS for sharing!

    1. I'm so glad you tried and liked it, Barb. You're welcome, I think chives would make a great addition to this cheeseball. :)
