Fourth & Final Frugal Friday of June 2026

Welcome to Frugal Friday!

My Frugal Week

On Tuesday my tutoring client asked me to change tutoring locations and brought me a delicious Tiger Tea for switching locations.

On Tuesday evening Bailey and I went to a free library event where we made diffuser beads. I used the rose essential oil as the scent for mine.

We’ve both enrolled in the free summer reading program, which awards patrons for every three books they read. We’ve both already gotten a free hand sanitizer.

And finally, Thursday was the grand opening of a new Goodwill store here, so Bailey and I both went and found several items. I didn’t buy any clothes as I can find them cheaper at yard sales than thrift stores.

This week’s post is a short one as I’ve been busy reading for the summer reading program and riding my bicycle while reading and living a busy summer life. I hope you are doing well and would love to hear what you’ve been up to this week.

Thank you for dropping by my frugal blog, you are always welcome here.

We would love to hear all about your week in the comment section.

  1. Sounds like a lovely week!
It is going to be really hot here next week, so I'm planning on staying in and reading more too..
    Have a great weekend.

    1. Thank. you, Kathy. I read that too about the heat next week! I hope it’s not too bad, but reading will be a great activity in the meantime.

  2. I haven't been to a Goodwill in ages - they have gotten way too expensive here. Neat on getting gifts for books read.

  3. Summer is just rolling with the 4th next weekend already. I'm tempted to stop at a yard sale ir thruft store...on the hunt for a very specific type if drawstring cotton, blue or lightweight denim loose fitting pants but can make do without them.

  5. I have been reading a lot, though there are no rewards other than my pleasure about reading. That is enough for me. I don't think the library here has an adult reading program.
I have not been inside a Goodwill in years, but I am getting rid of stuff rather than buying anything.
