My Frugal Week
This week I was still working on using up what we have here and our freezer is really emptying out. It's such a good feeling to use up those items and not let them go to waste. I've been using up a lot of our canned food items in the pantry as well.
I made a grocery list over the weekend and will have a Walmart delivery this morning to replenish a few things and get some fresh produce.
What’s for Dinner
Monday ~ Leftovers of Turkey Italian Sausage & Penne Pasta, and Cauliflower.
Tuesday ~ Movie Night usually means pizza here, which is what we had.
Wednesday ~ Chicken Burgers, Watermelon, and for dessert I picked up an
individual bundtlet from Nothing But Bundt's in the s’mores flavor. It was more
than enough for the both of us and delicious.
Thursday ~ Leftovers of Chicken Burgers, Tuna Salad, and Bean Salad. No need to cook anything for dinner this night.
Friday ~ Bailey had book club, so I was on my own for dinner. I ended up making two individual pizza bowls, one for me and one for her to eat whenever she was ready. I made them with cottage cheese, turkey pepperoni, pizza sauce, oregano, black olives, Parmesan, and mozzarella cheese. I mix all that up and bake them for 15 minutes.
Saturday ~ Salmon Patties, Green Beans with Onions & Potatoes, and Carrots.
Sunday ~ Chicken Burrito Bowls.
What’s been on the menu in your home this past week?

Sounds tasty! I love how you made the pizza bowls. All the flavor of pizza but healthier.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week.
Thank you, Kathy. As you know, I love pizza, but had to figure out a way to do them low carb. And I’ve tried all sorts of ideas over the last two years. This one is my favorite though. And of course, you can add the pizza toppings you and your family like, to personalize them. 🍕
DeleteI've heard about pizza bowls, but haven't tried them yet. They sound delicious. I'll have to give them a go! - Hawaii Planner
ReplyDeleteWe really like them and have them about once a week.
DeleteThere is a Nothin Bunt Cake store nearby. I have never tried it before but I guess I should.
ReplyDeletePizza bowls are great!
This was the first time we tried the Nothing Bundts and tried the banana pudding one, which was very good.
DeleteEverything sounds delicious.I've never heard of pizza bowls before but they sound good.We went camping for 8 days and had the usual camping food of burgers(homemade),hotdogs, pizza sandwiches over the fire, etc.Last night we had honey garlic pork sausages with leftover potato, carrot.onion hash with sliced cucumbers and sliced bell peppers on the side. It's rainy and cool outside today so I'm baking 6 loaves of bread and making hamburger, barley, vegetable soup in my large slow cooker so that I can freeze some.
ReplyDeleteYour camping food sounds delicious as does your six loaves of bread and vegetable soup. Soup is so delicious when it’s cold. I hope you had fun camping.
DeleteYour pizza bowls sound very interesting. I have never heard of those, and so will need to do some research.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
They are easy to make and taste really good. Several restaurants and pizza places sell them, which gave me the idea.
DeleteHadn't heard about the pizza bowls either. It all sounds delicious, and it's a good thing to have finished the leftovers.
ReplyDeleteThank you, pizza bowls are delicious. I think I’ll make one for dinner tonight.
